James StaddonKeymasterWell, I hope everyone enjoyed spending some time organizing their photos last month!
And you guys submitted some incredible photos. When it comes to a photo of an animal coming to the water to drink, I don’t think I could top that elephant photo! You sure you’re the one that took that photo @jemimajvr? 😀 And @esther, that broken handcuff photo with the clouds in the background is GREAT! I had a feeling you guys could pull something off like that. 🙂 So many really great photos!
Looking forward to critiquing all your photos tomorrow night! Here’s the webinar registration link: https://www.lenspiration.com/product/photo-coaching-72/ I’m hoping the Ziesemers will have chosen the winners by then as well!

Jemima Janse van RensburgParticipantHi James. Hopefully you were not serious…I would NEVER steal someone else’s photo!😶 We live 30min from the Addo Elephant park so we go there a lot for joyrides or picnics! The photo is from a while ago before I began to shoot in RAW…that’s why it is a jpeg. I really have a lot of photos of wildlife…including lions, giraffes and buffalo. Elephants at a water hole is a very common site in the park. I know I might sound crazy…but we really live in every wildlife Photographers dream! My parents say if you ever want to come and photograph wildlife here in South Africa you are most welcome to stay with us!😀 We also have a cheetah farm, predator park and bird and wildlife sanctuary not far from where we live. We also have a wildlife camp on the farm with buffalo, giraffes and a lot of different antelope. We can even take you to see rhinos on horseback or if you prefer you can do it on the elephants back…this is a TRUE story! We are still on vacation in Jeffreys Bay so tonight I would not have to stay up alone till 1am when the webinar starts! See you later…

James StaddonKeymasterYes, @jemimajvr, I was indeed joking. 🙂 It’s really fun to hear some of the backstories to your photos! And thank you for the invite!! Wow, that would be a wildlife photographers dream for sure! You start watching the webinars at 1am?! I really appreciate your dedication. That’s amazing.

James StaddonKeymasterI hope this assignment was a good reminder to help us have our photos organized by the end of the year. It has only been in recent years that I have felt like my photos were organized by the end of the year. And it’s a good feeling! However, I am still ending each year with boatloads of unedited photos from that year. What good is it to photograph a beautiful sunset if I never do anything with the photo I took of the beautiful sunset? I guess that’s something I can be figuring out in 2022. 🙂
As always, I enjoyed seeing the photos you submitted for this assignment. Special recognition goes to…
…@sarahb for having the most Relevant to the Assignment submission (the man breaking bread by the sea)
…@jemimajvr for having the most Entertaining submission (the elephant drinking at the water hole)
…@esther for having the most Overcoming the Challenges submission (broken handcuffs)You can watch the replay of this assignment’s photo coaching webinar here: https://www.lenspiration.com/video/webinar72/
Can’t wait till the next assignment! Don’t put your Christmas decorations away yet. 😀
