These are my photos for the assignment. I only had one opportunity to photograph with my younger brother, and it was raining outside. That made the lighting not the greatest, but I tried my best. It was enjoyable trying out lots of different setups on the desk.

I had a time slot late afternoon for pictures. The light wasn’t ideal, but half-way through the sun went behind a cloud and softened the light.

I tried to have a summer feel with the cacti.

Then I did a second shoot by the edge of the woods. There was morning, back-light as well as secondary light reflecting off the sky (because I was right on the edge of the trees and not under them).

Are the tree trunks distracting? Do they make it to difficult to add text?

Here are my submissions, which happen to be quite an assortment of different types of photographs!! The first four were ones I took for an assignment in Phase 3 of the Photography Program, and it’s great to have another use for them here!

I copied the idea of the low key folded hands from a stock photo I saw when searching for ideas of prayer, and my siblings kindly came outside last night to pose for me!

In my final photos, I was trying to portray the concept of praying beside the bed. Do these photos get that message across, or are they too busy and full-on for one to get a clear message from them?

These are the pictures that I have selected for this assignment. My brother and I ran outside for a quick\last-minute photoshoot today. Sorry about the finger nails. We realized after we took the pictures that the grease from working on mechanics didn’t wash out.

Nice work, everyone!
When this assignment came out I wasn’t sure if I would have the chance to shoot it, as our August was looking to be pretty busy. But! While we were on a camping trip, I snatched up a chance to shoot it—thanks to my sister for being a good impromptu model! 😀 I hope the pictures will be useful, even though they’re in a more unusual setting! It was fun working with the old-fashioned water pump. 🙂
