ParticipantI had fun taking these! I got the inspiration from Adobe stock. When I’m looking for ideas that’s were I search and then put it in my Library.
And for a behind-the-scenes tip. To get the focus right for the self portraits; I stacked up the jumbo Legos in front, focused on them, removed the top ones and positioned my test tub right where I had focused. It made it very simple.

KeymasterLove these!! I’m excited for this assignment. I have a friend who is an entomologist (um, she studies bugs) who is happy for me to do a photoshoot with her. I’m going to try for a “scientist discovers truth of the Bible” feel to the photos, so we’ll see what we come up with!

ParticipantI am excited as well! I was at a loss for inspiration, so my sister came up with a lot of wonderful ideas. I will be shooting for “The Limits of Science”

ParticipantHere are some of my submissions! I decided to draw up the whiteboard with a Biology theme, but added props related to Chemistry and Geology also…😀.
Also @lenspirationlydia, are my photos small enough for this forum? They are much bigger on the longest edge that the recommended pixels, but a lot smaller than the specified MB size (7 or 8 MB). Mine are around 1.8 MB… I’m not sure if I need to downsize them! Thank you very much for your help!

Good question, @laura-aome! There are two reasons for the recommended sizes, and I think understanding those will help with your question!
1. The recommended resolution is 1200px longest edge. This is mainly for your benefit. We’re not asking you to publicly share the high-res versions of your images. No one on the forum needs to access your full size photos. So the resolution recommendation is just that: a recommendation, not a requirement.
2. The specified size of 7 or 8 MB is simply because of the limitations in what our site will allow you to upload. If you had a ginormous photo that was much larger than that, it simply wouldn’t be able to handle it and would let you know 🙂
Does that help clarify things for you?

ParticipantThank you, @lenspirationlydia!! You’re basically saying that as long as the photos upload to this forum, they are small enough? That’s great to know!
And here are the rest of my photos:)
