Greg, a friend of mine, is selling a lot of his camera gear. I’ve listed out below what he has for sale and a comparison to what is might currently find it for new and used elsewhere. I don’t think you’ll be able to get a better deal.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please reply to this topic. I trust Greg and have confidence that he will answer honestly to any questions you may ask about the condition of the gear.

Regarding the Canon 70-200 f2.8 L IS:
Would it be this version: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-70-200mm-2-8L-Telephoto-Cameras/dp/B00006I53X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416448062&sr=8-2&keywords=Canon+EF+70-200mm+f%2F2.8L+IS
or version 2? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0033PRWSW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=NJA4Q9UX75RF&coliid=I2LCLNBO5WJ1U7How is the condition? Any scratches? How much use has it seen?
Thank you for your time.

Just wondering if you guys wouldn’t mind giving a brief description of the wear & tear on the equipment, if only a B&H equivalent rating for used equipment.
I assume the lens is actually the version 1?
Shutter count on the mark iv?
What is your experience with combining this 70-200 with your 1.4 extender?
Thanks, and God bless!
-NasaNovember 20, 2014 at 8:17 am #8400James StaddonKeymasterGreg did not indicate that the 70-200mm was version II, so I am assuming it is version I.
Greg, would you be able to answer the questions from @Jerad and @Nasa?
November 20, 2014 at 9:07 am #8402witzyParticipantHere’s my story and why I’m selling the equipment. My wife and I have a lot of children (12) and I do photography on the side. We’re in the process of remodeling our home (adding more bedrooms & bathrooms) and are trying our best to do it debt free. They’re taking the roof off of our home and adding a second story.
I’m selling everything I own except for my studio lights. I plan to purchase different equipment next fall or the spring of 2017. I can email photos of any of the equipment, but I usually don’t have time to get to it until everyone else is in bed.
Here’s the low down on the equipment:
-The 1D Mark IV is in excellent condition, comes with: charger, strap, box, manual & body cap. There are a few minor dings (normal wear) on the body. There is some green marker on the bottom and on the battery (that way it didn’t get mixed up with someone else’s equipment). Shutter count is 96,000 (rated at 300,000-70-200 2.8 IS L (1), It is version 1. This is my favorite lens to use. It comes with hood, box, bag & both end caps (I also believe it has the instruction manual). The only issue with this lens is a chip in the rangefinder (on top of the lens). I don’t use my equipment in wet weather, so it never was an issue. Glass is clean.
-1.4x Extender (II) got very little use. When my son played football, I used it with the 70-200 to get closer shots. Works great, clean glass (comes with the box, bag & end caps)
-24-105 f4 IS L Great lens, I purchased from a friend about two months ago (I sold my 24-70 2.8 L). It’s got clean glass, works great & comes with hood, caps and bag.
-600EX-RT Flash is in excellent condition. I used it mainly at family functions (Christmas, birthday parties, etc). I did use occasionaly for outside portraits. This is the big dog of Canon flashes. Comes with box & paperwork.
-Drobo 5n $310 If you want to back up your photos and files, this will do the job! It comes with 5-1.5 tb hard drives installed. This will ensure you won’t lose the info on your computer. If you’re not backing up what you do now, start. I had a Macbook Pro (3 years old) that had a logic board fail. I hadn’t done a back up for 6 months. I had to use my other MBP to go into the damaged on and drag & drop all the files I wanted to keep. They said I’d probably lose all my files when they fixed it.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. If you buy multiple items, I can come down in price (a little). Buyer is responsible for shipping costs (I’ll eat the paypal charges).
Thanks & God bless,
