ParticipantWho else got a spring snow storm? It reminded me of the verse in Proverbs 26:1 “As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.”
It did provide some unique photos. I’ve had difficulty editing pictures of snow. It seems that there is a fine line between the snow looking ether blown-out or dingy. So what do you think about these pictures? Do they look edited correctly to you?
I enjoyed the beauty of the last visit of winter, even though it took our fruit blooms.

Ya I also got snow…it was pretty but took out the blossoms on our fruit trees. I really like the pictures you took. Not too white or too dark in my uneducated opinion (aka I might not be the best person to answer😂) #1 is my favourite. I really like how you positioned it. Is it an apple tree? Is #2 lilac?April 21, 2021 at 5:39 pm #62113Blessings Captured
ParticipantThanks @TashaVK! Yes, it’s an apple tree and a lilac. Did you get any pictures of the snow? Here it’s already all melted and looks like spring again!

ParticipantThe important thing is to not get discouraged and keep taking pictures!

KeymasterWow, @blessingscaptured, you really did get some spring snow! That’s beautiful! I saw a few snowflakes breeze by the window this morning, but that’s the most snow we’ve gotten in quite a while! 🙂
I think you did well with editing your photos! Snow is tricky to edit. I don’t think there’s much I would change, other than that I personally like a little more contrast so I’d probably bump up texture a bit and double-check my white point and black point (see attached screenshot as an example).
Again, nice work!

ParticipantThanks Lydia! I can see how lowering the black point really helps it.
