Totally! Take a look at the difference between these shots. It might give you an idea of what to be looking for. Gradients, mainly, from what I know at the moment. The jagged edges I think are called something like “JPG artifacting”. Not knowledgeable in this area. One was exported at Quality 90, the other at 5, from LR.
@bennett-family, a very helpful Lightroom plugin for this task is Jeffreyâs âJPEG Export Quality Tester.â It can bulk export the same photo at different quality settings so you can easily compare them and see the differences. I recommend FastStone Image Viewer for comparing the exported files, because it allows you to select up to 4 photos at once for easy 100% zoom comparisons.
