I don’t have any photos to share here yet for this assignment because I haven’t finished narrowing down my photos! I am planning on getting my collection of candidates ready this week, though, and then making the final cut next week for my 2025 calendar. Will keep you posted!
Good question! The purpose of the assignment is to help you get your past year’s worth of photos organized and edited. However, if perhaps you have already accomplished that, here’s what I would suggest:
1st: Submit your best 12 from the past 12 months and submit them like normal for this assignment.
2nd: Prepare a second batch that could include photos from previous years and feel free to share (a link?) here on the forums, but not as an official submission. Those 12 would probably be what you would use in a calendar if your first batch won any prizes!If you win a prize, you can use it to print any 12 photos you want.
Well folks, I narrowed my photos down to around 100 possibilities (step #2 in the video I made about choosing calendar-worthy photos), and then narrowed that down to 35 actual candidates (step #4). Thank you! The last picture was taken at Natural Bridge state park in Slade county, Kentucky. It is my favorite location to photograph when we are on vacation up there. Besides the top of the Natural Bridge, there are also trails to go under it, as well as a spot where you can get an excellent view of the surrounding areas. I strongly recommend a trip there whenever you are in Kentucky!
Since my absoloute FAVORITE thing to photograph is birds, I decided to do a bird themed calendar! I like everyone’s submissions so far; they look great!
