@Abbie, here’s a topic I started that tells all the secrets about learning what camera was used, as well as all the exposure settings.
@thefarmhand, I just assumed you had used GIMP to edit that photo! 🙂 Lightroom definitely makes it easier to visualize the settings used. GIMP doesn’t really have any way to quickly show what edits were made.
Attached is a quick edit I made in GIMP. I duplicated the layer and set it to “Overlay” mode, with about 50% opacity. Then I cropped it down to cut out the worst of the blown hightlights, and used the ‘Burn’ tool to cut down the highlights even more. Finally, I did a custom vignette… 🙂
