Is it possible the memory cards are getting to “used”? My sister’s card is quite old and mine has experienced a lot of wear, i.e. going in and out of card slots a lot. Is it possible the terminals are getting scratched and causing glitches on import?
The same thought had occurred to me. I suppose it’s possible, but it seems highly unlikely that 2 cards from 2 different cameras would exhibit the same behavior at the same time… Of course, given millions of years, anything is possible, but still… 🙂
Ok, just to be sure, are we talking about 2 different catalogs on 2 computers, or 2 catalogs on one computer?
I think a HDD check would not be out of order, though it does seem strange that the only symptoms come through LR. If that comes through clean, I would consider a complete reset of LR to default settings. Make sure you have all your custom presets and stuff backed up though, just in case!
