@rebekahmarek, it depends on what you’re going for. It makes a stunning impression, but it is low quality in other respects.
To help with the glow, make sure the area over the ipod camera is perfectly clean. Center the light source dead center in the frame will eliminate flare. There’s nothing you can do about the streaks of light; it all depends on the camera “lens” your ipod is using.
