Really love the pine cone image. The warm sunlight is awesome. The pine cone, the subject, is too far into the bottom right corner. Too much empty background. Love how the cone is partially hidden by foreground needles but the shape is still obvious. Perhaps less needles in front.
This waterfall is perfectly set up for a vertical composition. Using the rocks on the right as your main, foreground anchor, filling the background with the trickle of water coming down off the canyon wall. Glad it’s so sharp. Long exposure but no camera shake! When you’re in the valley with no sunlight, make sure to change your white balance to a shade preset. This image has a very cool cast.
