When you say godaddy website, what do you mean by that? GoDaddy is a domain registration and webhost solution, right?
What is your website built with? Is it powered by WordPress? Tumblr? Drupal? What sort of an error are you getting? Are you getting an error, or does it just go endlessly and never finish?
Did you make sure that the file size isn’t too big? Try a little tiny resized picture, and see if it works. Try a picture from another source perhaps.
