There are a lot of directions you could take this assignment! Because I wanted to shoot at this location, I chose to use myself as the human element. A colorful sunrise or a glowy golden hour would have been nice, but I would have to go back at a different time for those.

This assignment looks fun! It will probably take a little more coordinating and planning than some of the previous assignments I’ve done, but I’m looking forward to it!!!

Yeah, and the sunrise gets pretty early here in Alaska.😀 Right now it’s thankfully only around seven. But I’m looking forward to an excuse to enjoy it!!

I actually also have another reason to be excited for since I posted yesterday, I just got my first DSLR yesterday afternoon!!🎉🎉 It will be so much fun to get to shoot this assignment with my own camera. It is such a dream come true to have my own camera!

Here are a couple of the photos I submitted for this assignment! I’m not sure if I was able to capture exactly capture what the publisher was hoping for, but I did have a fun time shooting them with my sister!

Thank you! I used my Canon EOS Rebel SL3.

The details didn’t mention anything about hunting, but this was the idea we thought of. We did the photoshoot before opening day so we wouldn’t be rushed. 🙂
My camera was having some difficulty with focusing, it kept wanting to focus on the trees. But I believe these ones are focused.

At the same time, we tried using binoculars, but with a silhouette you couldn’t tell what they were.
