So exciting to see more photos coming in!
@lenorascholl, the summer season comes across very clearly.
@molong, isn’t it so amazing how an ordinary forest path can look so pretty with fresh snow and golden hour light?!Good job, everyone, being willing to endure the cold to get some great photos.
Here are my photos for this assignment. I happened to take these pictures right before the assignment came out one foggy morning. So that was convenient! 🙂

Here are the rest of my photos. Amazingly, we got some unexpected snow this past week and so I tried photographing that as well. I definitely didn’t expect to be able to shoot in the snow for this assignment! It hasn’t snowed where we live in south Georgia in 7 years.

Dear James,
These are just fun pictures from my cell phone. I didn’t know until that evening about the photo assignment, so I didn’t meet your specifications. They are just to say I appreciate all you have taught my family about photography. Thank you for teaching excellence in “whatsoever ye do in word or deed”.
It has been fun to follow you (single, ministry, marriage, Mordecai, etc.)

These are my pictures for the assignment. I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures this month so I used these two from last summer.

These pictures appear to be a fall scene, but they were actually taken in January. The sun hadn’t touched that section of the woods yet, so the path turned out to be cold and blue. I tried different temperature settings on my camera. But we had to warm it up in post processing.

When I saw this assignment, I thought, I might actually be able to do that one! But the one day that I was driving anywhere pretty… I realized that I had forgot my camera. :(. So, I pulled out my cellphone (a 2016 model with not a great camera…) The road certainly was pretty, but the camera doesn’t do it justice. (See 1st picture.)
Then I saw a snowmobile track, (see 2nd picture) but again, that camera just doesn’t cut the mustard. If you look really close, you can see the path goes all the way to the edge of the woods.
A couple days later, I figured, “Well, I could at the least take a picture of our driveway.” (See pictures 3 & 4)
Then later that day, my little sister and I went snowshoeing. This time I remembered my camera! But paths in the woods are difficult to capture, I find. (See picture 5)(to be continued)

Then the sun really came out, so picture 6 I find has nice lighting, but it also shows that the path is well used!
Finally we crossed a cross-country ski path, and had a bit of a “view”. This is my favourite of the pictures I managed to take. (See picture 7)The more I do photography the more I realise that a good picture doesn’t just “happen”. It takes deliberate thought, forethought and experience! I didn’t get any epic, shots, but at least my sister and I had fun that day! And of course I got some shots of her, too! But those don’t fit in this assignment. 😀
I would be interested in hearing other’s opinions as to whether the pictures have a good white balance or not.

Here are some of my photos for this assignment. These were taken while I was at a men’s prayer meeting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Thankfully, it was warm enough that the snow stuck to the trees. But, most of the snow melted away before I got an opportunity to take additional pictures with the sun coming through the trees.

Here are the rest of the pictures. The fall one was taken from the rear-facing seat in the back of our station wagon, so that is why I am on the “wrong side” of the road. It was also taken though the glass while we were driving, and before I learned to not use the maximum aperture (f1.4) of the lens. So, I had to sharpen and dehaze quite a bit. The ocean one was taken a few days ago in the middle of the day, so I’m not sure what season it represents.
@frazer-family I think that you did good job setting the white balance, because if it was any warmer the snow in the sunlight would look yellowish brown.Attachments:
The road picture is from my past pictures.
I went out again and photographed similar locations, but later in the morning. The sun shone through the trees! In post processing I still had to warm them up somewhat, but the lighting was much better.
