ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
• Publisher: Lenspiration
• Purpose: We need photos of photographers at their computers or mobile devices that we can use in our Photography Program promo, future course promotion, and in our website and emails in general!
• Request: The photos should portray a photographer studying or working on the business side of photography, with a bright and happy feel! They could be sitting anywhere from a desk area in a home, to a table inside (or outside!) a coffee shop. The photographer could be uploading or editing photos, creating a portfolio, or watching a Lenspiration course! They should be a young person, anywhere from mid-teens to early 20s. They could use any sort of device someone would use to work on their photos: a desktop computer, a laptop, or a tablet with a stylus. A camera or camera equipment by their side will help show that they are a photographer.
• Special Instructions: We welcome a variety of perspectives and angles! Negative space is great for leaving room for text overlay but it’s not required for every photo submission. Feel free to take a variety of perspectives: a wide angle that portrays a photographer in their workspace, or a close up shot featuring details. The model should dress professionally and with modesty.
• Orientation: Horizontal is preferred
• Photo Specs: As high quality as possible! Edit tastefully; no watermarks.
• How to Submit: Members can follow the A, B, C process outlined here. (Instructions for non-members can be viewed here.) You can submit up to 10 photos.
• Remuneration: The photographer whose photo is chosen as the winner of this assignment will receive one free month of Lenspiration membership!
• Terms: By submitting your photo(s) on this forum, you agree to the terms outlined in the STS Photo Assignment Agreement. Lenspiration reserves the right to use any of the photos that are submitted for this assignment.
• Deadline: Midnight Saturday, September 24, 2022 (or until this topic is no longer highlighted yellow).
• Important note: The person you photograph (or the parents/guardian of the person) will need to sign a model release (like this one). You do not need to submit the signed model releases to Lenspiration unless specifically requested.LEARN HOW:

And I love the creativity on that last one! You never know when that sort of picture might come in handy 😉

Thankfully I had a remote 😄 and so it was fairly easy taking the pictures. In my opinion they are definitely worth having! I’m planning, Lord willing, to do one more photo shoot for the assignment.

@laura-aome, thank you for taking time to photograph this assignment! It’s great your brother was willing to pose for you. 🙂September 21, 2022 at 12:59 pm #72369Samuel WestParticipantSeptember 21, 2022 at 1:02 pm #72375Samuel WestParticipantSeptember 22, 2022 at 9:22 pm #72418Frazer FamilyParticipantSeptember 23, 2022 at 6:00 pm #72437Blessings CapturedParticipantI tried two different concepts for this assignment.
#1 A homeschool student learning photography from Lenspiration.
#2 A photographer working on the business side of photography.I tried to consciously think about every detail and if it added to the story and feel. The background was a challenge because there were major distractions just out of the frame. I learned a lot, maybe next time I do a shoot it’ll go faster. 🙂
I’m looking forward to learning ways to tell the story more effectively.
