That’s great, @abigail-ann. It’s good to try and analyze what makes us like or dislike things in photos!
Here are the aspects I like about the photo:
– It’s taken at a creative angle! It can be good to think outside the box when finding angles to take pictures at.
– There’s distinct foreground, middleground, and background in the photo. So, there’s depth.
– The foreground and background are blurry, which is artistic!
– The lighting is good. No harsh shadows, and nice golden light in the background.
When I first saw the photo, it took me a second to figure out what the ear was, and although the angle is creative, it makes me want to see the dog’s face, not just her nose! 🙂 So, with that in mind, I can see room for improvement there. I wonder what other creative photos you could take of her that would include the elements that I mentioned, but that shows her face more distinctly, thereby telling a clearer “story” with your photo.
