Bonjour tout le monde! Nous avons visite notre grandmère au Québec la semaine dernière – c’était un bon temps pour visiter cette province!
————————————————————
Hello everyone! We visited our grandmother in Quebec last week – it was such a beautiful time to visit that province!
(….and that’s all the French I’m going to do for now 😛 )Here are just a few of my favorite photos I took over the course of the week.
-The trees in the first photo are in my grandmaman’s front yard, but with all the houses around I almost didn’t take a picture. Then I decided I should challenge myself and find an angle that would have no houses in it – and I actually ended up finding two angles! This one I liked better than the other.
-The second picture is a spot down the street that some of my siblings noticed and told me about so I went there with my brother. (I used a tripod for this one)
-The other pictures are just different angles of the tree in front of my grandmaman’s house at different times. So, go for it! Can’t wait to hear some great critique from all of you!
I’m taking @jamesstaddon’s idea and put the specs for each photo in the file names to save some space here!

Secondly, can I ask, not to be harsh, just wondering, what are we striving for here in these photo’s? I see several different aspects which is why I am asking, I see, light, nature, leaves, fall, foliage, trees. Does that make sense on saying what are you trying to achieve? Like I personally think these would make great inspirational quote backgrounds, but that’s only my opinion. Overall all amazing photos! Maybe just a hidden purpose behind them! 🙂

@ryanben2, great question, it’s not harsh at all! I think the answer is, “Yes!” Light, nature, fall, foliage, trees, all of the above. I was simply trying to capture a bit of the beauty that surrounded me!
And as far as having success shooting in Manual Mode, I guess all I can say is practice, learn and practice more. I only started shooting in Manual this year, and still am not all that quick in choosing the correct settings in certain conditions. There’s always room to improve, right? 🙂November 2, 2018 at 2:13 pm #34685James StaddonKeymasterYeah, that urge to “capture the beauty that surrounds me” is quite difficult to explain! If I have time, @bennett-family, I’ll see if I can come up with some critique for these photos on the webinar on the 13th! https://www.lenspiration.com/photo-critique-with-lenspiration-nov-13/
