f/1.6Wow! Where did you get an 18-55 lens that goes all the way down to f/1.6? 🙂
But seriously, I really like that photo. The sun shining on the leaf really makes the color “pop”! That photo reminds me of one that I took a few weeks ago… It was dew though, instead of fresh snow. We haven’t gotten any “real” snow yet. 🙁

I think I would have gotten rid of the single blade of blurred grass that extend to the top of the leaf. Yeah, I know it’s faint and not REAL noticeable, but it still seems to distract from the leaf a little. Many have been the times that I have looked at a picture and realized that I had minor distractions that could have easily been removed before I took the shot. Thankfully, modern software does a pretty good job of removing unwanted little “irritations”! I took the liberty to work on it in Photoshop and even with your compressed .jpg file, it turned out pretty well. I also took care of what I thought was another minor little distraction. Can you find it? 🙂

My thought was that it was a bit underexposed perhaps, for being a picture of snow under sunlight. Took a look at the histogram to see and it doesn’t necessarily read one way or another. It’s a personal preference thing.
That was fun looking for the second edit you made, Dan! 🙂
