I like the second picture! I have never done any architectural photography, so I don’t have any voice in the matter, but I really like it.
The first one seems a bit over-processed to me. If you look closely at the edges of the building you can see the “halo” effect which often indicates too much “pushing”.
It looks to me like the “Clarity” slider in Lightroom was pushed to the right as far as it would go. Clarity adds sharpening as well, so the whole thing looks over-sharpened.
My recommendation would be to use the sharpening sliders in the ‘Detail’ pane of the Develop module for sharpening, and slide the ‘Masking’ slider up to about 50 or so. That would selectively sharpen the edges in the picture instead of applying sharpening to everything. Sharpening everything can create the appearance of noise when there wasn’t any to begin with!
