Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. I can’t even remember the last time I posted anything on Lenspiration. I have been studying equine management (basically horses) and well…let’s just say that it feels like this “grown up” life has hit me in the face with a stainless-steel pan…and these people keeps me SO busy.😂 Anyway, I have been taking a lot of photos here where I study of both the horses and riders and was wondering if you guys can give me critique on them.😊 I have really missed being a part of Lenspiration.

Wow, Jemima I love your photos. Being a horse lover myself your pictures caught my eye. You did a good job keeping the subjects in focus as they moved. Great job! -Joanna
Thank you for sharing, @jemimajvr! I’m glad you are enjoying your studies, and it’s neat that you’ve been able to continue taking some photos while you’re there too. That last photo of the horse in the field with the mountains in the background is simply stunning! What a gorgeous location. In all your photos, you nailed the exposure beautifully.
So fun to see these photos, @jemimajvr! Nicely done, and well edited!
I think the main area that I could see improvement for these photos would be in composition, although I also understand that action shots like these can be challenging to nail stellar compositions on. 🙂 The backgrounds in the first two pictures seem generally busy & distracting, and the background in the second photo intersects with the subject’s head. In the third photo, it would be epic if the horse had more of the mountain as a backdrop vs the trees – I don’t know if you could get lower or how much you could move around to compose a little differently there for a more dynamic shot.
Other than that though, like I said – very nicely edited, and these are good pictures!
