ParticipantHi All!
I’m taking some reference photos for an artist and am in need of a model release. I’ve had a look online for a template, but haven’t really found anything suitable. They seem to be very complicated and wordy! 🙂 Does anyone know of any free templates to recommend? Or if I have to make up my own what information to include?

ParticipantGood morning Caitlin! @creative-click-photography
I know you use Lightstock, so would there be a problem with using one of theirs?
Since it is not copyrighted it seems like it would be fine to use it.
That one seemed pretty simple to me.
Otherwise I have no experience with that!November 17, 2020 at 10:00 pm #55283Caitlin Compton
ParticipantThanks for that suggestion, @ernestf-lloyd! I think it might work, temporarily at least. 🙂 And it will give me something to base a more personalized one off that I’ll create in the (hopefully!) near future!

Participant@creative-click-photography, I know what you mean! I’ve gone through the same thing when trying to come up with a client contract for photography sessions and other such times where I want some form of written agreement. 🙂
You might also check out the Lenspiration Model Release typically used for Shoot to Serve assignments for some ideas! It’s not too wordy, and I think pretty much covers all your bases.

ParticipantThanks for that suggestion, @bennett-family! 🙂
In the end I downloaded a free one from Studio Binder It’s pretty simple, but easy to use. I hope to create a more personalised one for use in the future, but the Studio Binder one worked well for now. 🙂 And I’ll know doubt come back to the Lenspiration and Lightstock model releases for ideas in the future!
