The D80 is a crop-sensor camera with an autofocus motor built-in, so the Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED is compatible with your camera!
Note to others reading: Not all 40-year old lenses are compatible with digital cameras! Nikon has been using the same lens mount for over 60 years, until they launched their new mirorless system in 2019. In the case of Nikon DSLR’s, you have to check two things:
1) Does the camera have a built-in focus motor? If not, then you need a lens with a focus motor.
2) Are you using a full-frame camera? If so, then you have to make sure the lens is a full-frame lens, not a crop lens.
Other camera systems may be more complicated… Not to name any in particular! 😉
