So I had an opportunity to try out the new pano feature in Lightroom CC.
Each includes 3 images taken with a 20mm lens and stitched in Lightroom.

Looks real good! That is an extremely nice feature in the new version of Lightroom! RAW Panoramas were practically non-existent, you had to go through RAW-to-TIFF adjustments, then open in dedicated Panoramic stitching software, and on and on.
I have manually stitched panoramas before, which is an extremely time consuming project, and if you’re not very careful, you won’t get any better results than the automated software! It is sort of neat though, to manually “put the pieces together”. I might have to download the 30 day trial, and try out that stitcher myself!
I don’t know much about what Lightroom is (but I’m going to look it up because y’all talk about it a lot), but these pictures are very beautiful! And they’re actually three different pictures blended together? I didn’t know they could go together so flawlessly like that. By the way, it’s Anna from tgd! It’s very cool to see you on this site. If you get a chance I’ll bring my laptop to TGD and give you an introduction to Lightroom.
This is three images stitched together automatically (sort of) in Lightroom. First I adjust for lens distortion and then merge the images.

That first panoramic perspective really makes me feel like I’m there. I wish I could see the top of the lone tree there. And what do you think, is the horizon level? I love how the greenery is nestled in the rocks on the left. I’m assuming you stitched together 3 horizontal shots? Have you found that to work better/worse than stitching vertical shots?
So, have you been able to try out Lightroom yet, @annalee13? @timtam would certainly be a great instructor for learning how to use it! 🙂

@timtam my ankle had been acting up and I ended up having surgery on it again a month ago! I’m coming to the next one though. I would LOVE to take a look if you have the time!!
