If you want my honest opinion, I would say Lightroom would be more worth the money. After all, GIMP covers about 90% of the things Elements can do, and GIMP is free!
BTW, in my opinion digital shake reduction is somewhat of a gimmick. Sure, it might work sometimes to salvage a picture that might otherwise be un-useable, but that picture still won’t of the quality to print in a calendar, or anything like that. I’m sure @JamesStaddon will tell you to concentrate on getting pictures “tack sharp” in the first place. Then you won’t even need digital shake reduction! 🙂
