This was my second attempt at the “silky water effect” – an assignment from the “Explore” video series.

    1st picture:
I tried different shutter speeds and different angles and such; this is basically the best picture I got, but I don’t know if I like it and I’m not sure why. A down-side to this location is that I couldn’t really get physically closer to the actual spot of the rushing water that I was trying to capture. Closer up, the bank was much too steep and close to the road, and there was nowhere safe to rest my camera!

    2nd picture:
This was a little mini waterfall nearby. Comments?

    Camera: Nikon D3100

    1st pic –
    f/18
    Exposure: 1/6
    ISO:100
    Focal length: 18 mm

    2nd pic –
    f/20
    Exposure: 1/5
    ISO: 100
    Focal length: 52 mm

Hey @bennett-family, sorry it doesn’t look like anyone else had any comments. I’ll be sure to take a look at these during the webinar tonight. Glad you’re signed up!

I had a lot of fun fiddling around with these photos during the webinar. 🙂 Here’s the replay link in case you ever want it: https://www.lenspiration.com/video/webinar050818/
