August 8, 2015 at 6:30 am #12698O. S.Participant@abbie, nice picture! I would say that the sunlight on her head, and on the grass is a little harsh. Obviously you can’t control the sun, but that is something to take into consideration. Also, I might be wrong, but the picture looks cropped. I think it would have been better to use the rule of thirds. Another thing is in some places, it looks blurry and not sharp. The last thing, is you have a cute sis:)
August 10, 2015 at 12:35 pm #12795James StaddonKeymasterI have to agree with that, it must be so much fun to have a little sister. 🙂
I’m liking the effect of the blown and blurred highlights in the foreground and background. Perhaps not in the hair? I think making more of a gradient from textured hair to bright hair would look better.
And perhaps not letting the blurred effect touch her hair?
It really is a cute pose. Did you ask her to pose there?
August 10, 2015 at 2:44 pm #12802Abbie CamusoParticipant@oksch, I know – the sunlight is pretty harsh. I suppose I could have had her pose under a different tree…. The rule of thirds is something to have considered. And yes, she is cute! 😀 @JamesStaddon it is. 😀 Yes, I asked April to pose there. I tried resetting the focus-do any of these look better?
August 11, 2015 at 11:56 am #12833James StaddonKeymasterYes! Less added blur really works!
It’s neat you posted one with no blur, and then another with just a little blur. I really like the one with a little blur! You can’t tell it’s an added effect, but it’s still there. It’s just an impression of dreaminess, which is what it should be like.
