At my family get-together this past weekend, a thunderstorm was rolling in late in the day. My brother-in-law pointed out the interesting cloud formations going on in the back yard, so I pulled out my camera and snapped some shots. I had to hurry because the storm was coming quickly, and sure enough, I had just gotten back into the house when it started pouring!
I have some thoughts of my own of what I like and don’t like about these photos, but I would be interested to hear other perspectives. 🙂 My sister said she didn’t think I quite captured the feeling that was in the air; it was still somewhat bright outside, but very ominous at the same time.
I did have a slightly difficult time figuring out how to expose so the foreground wouldn’t be too dark; I ended up shooting the pics under-exposed and bringing up the lighting in editing.
