ParticipantIs there any way to add watermarks to photos in Lightroom’s published collections?
The only way I’ve thought of is to export the pictures with a watermark then re-import. I was hoping there was an easier way.
Also how do you personalize the gallery like how the pro posing is?
Thanks!

ModeratorI’ve never used LR’s web albums, so hopefully @jamesstaddon or @lenspirationlydia or others who do use them can chime in. I did find a link to instructions on how to include copyright watermarks in web photo galleries though. I’m guessing you’ll still need to re-export any galleries that have previously been published though. 🙁

ParticipantI can add my watermark in the web gallary page, but I think I have to have a website host to upload to in order to use it.

KeymasterGreat question, @blessingscaptured! For Pro Posing, we actually don’t use the Publish services or the Web Module; we use Lightroom Sync, which syncs photos directly from Collections in LR to the web. Here’s an article that explains how to sync collections: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/how-to/sync-photos-lightroom-mobile.html
Once the collections are synced, there are different ways to personalize things, like we’ve done with Pro Posing.
Because the photos are just photos in collections which are synced online, there’s not a easy way to import watermarks. From my experience, you would have to do something like what you described, exporting/importing with watermarks, which I agree is not the simplest way to do things 🙂
One important note about Lightroom Sync: you can only sync one LR catalog to the web. So if you have photos in multiple catalogs, you would only be able to sync one catalog.

ParticipantThank you @lenspirationlydia. How do you personalize the collections?

KeymasterYou can choose which collections are synced online, and also which ones show up in your gallery. So you can have collections that are not visible in the main gallery, but that you can share a specific link to view, or you can also have collections that are offline.
Then, there are different ways to sort the collections on Lightroom Sync: by Capture Date, Import Date, File Name, Star Rating, etc. For Pro Posing, we sort by filename and have organized our photos with a unique filename system to keep them in the order we want.
There are also ways you can create headings and sub-headings, but we don’t use those aspects for what we do.

ParticipantHow do you pick which collections to show up in your gallery? How do you add the “logo” pro posing on the left? Also how do you add the camera information?
Thanks for your help!

KeymasterWhen you view your synced collections on the web, and click on “gallery” (see attached screenshot), there are different things you can select. You can add an image, customize your name, add a description, and choose which photo settings are enabled (show metadata, show location, allow downloads, allow comments and likes). We “show metadata” which allows the camera info to be visible.
Also under “gallery” is where you can select which of your synced collections show up in your gallery. Simply click “add albums”, it will show all the albums you have synced online, and then you select which albums to make visible in your gallery.
