Active 1 month agoI'm a wildlife photographer and love the adventure that comes with capturing God's beautiful creation! As farmers, my family and I strive to conserve the earth and land God has given us in every aspect. That led me to becoming a wild horse and burro advocate, and I work to preserve them on our public lands everyday. Of course, I also love photographing them in their wild habitat! On top of that, I am a graphic designer and my family and I are musicians, ministering to our local nursing homes. Hi @tashavk!
Great job on those pictures! I can’t really give any tips on food photography as I haven’t tried it much, but some friends of mine have a food blog. Here is the link: http://www.savortheflavour.com I know it can be helpful to look at other people’s pictures and ideas, so I thought I’d pass this along!

Hello everyone!
I’m having some trouble with getting this picture of a rock yard to look right…! What are your thoughts? I’ve included the original picture and the one I’ve tried editing.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Lydia!
I’ve never scanned artwork before, but I have scanned images (and edited them) and GIMP has worked well for me in the past. My siblings all use Mac and there is a photo editing program on there (not sure what it’s called) that seems to work well. Scanning does make the colors less vibrant, but I think some saturation could help with…[Read more]

Thank you, @jamesstaddon, for your help! Since I asked the question, I’ve done some more research and decided that a backpack (on the smaller end) would be a better option. I’ll still keep my current small camera bag for miscellaneous things! Thanks again for your help!

Hello!
I planning on getting a larger camera case that’s able to fit more items. I found this one that I like, but it doesn’t have any reviews. Do any of you possibly have experience with this case or have a large bag that you really like and would recommend? I have a Nikon D7200 camera, with an 18-400 mm lens, and will be adding a 200-500mm…[Read more]

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your helpful replies, @buddingphotographer, @blessingscaptured, and @elianafranzenburg! I’ll look into the links you gave. I also found another canvas company, canvasworld.com. Their reviews are very good and they seem to be high quality.
Thanks again!

Hello!
After coming back on a vacation to WY/MT, a friend asked to buy a couple of my pictures on canvas. Do any of you know a quality printing company that you (or someone you know) have been happy with?
Thank you!

Thanks, @loganlamar! I’ll look into it soon! I’ll probably end up going with Lightroom in the next couple of months as I like to stay with what I’m familiar with, but I definitely look into On1.

I’ve recently begun shooting in RAW format, but the photos won’t open up in GIMP or load onto MailChimp. I saw there are several GIMP users here, so I was wondering, do any of you know how to open them in GIMP? I’ve had to go back to shooting in JPEG until I figure this issue out.

Thank you for answering my question, @frazer-family! I think I’ll have to end up watching it later as I have a photo shoot at a horse farm tomorrow evening, too! Thanks for your help!
By the way, I’ve enjoyed seeing all of your submissions! God’s creation is amazing!
