I took these with either a reversing ring or extension tubes. Trying macro photography was really fun!

Firstly, I have to say that I love your last image (with the dog catching the ball). You captured the movement beautifully, while keeping the dog sharp. Great job!
I like the way @laura-aome edited the pictures; it makes the photos look sunny and bright.
For the second photo, I think that the face is slightly out of focus…I believe that the dog moved, not you. Animals are super hard to keep in focus, because they are hardly ever completely still! I would suggest using a higher shutter speed, to get sharper photos.
For the second to last one (the dog lying down), I personally would have crouched down and taken the photo at eye level with your dog. I find that it helps the photo look more meaningful, since you are looking your dog in the eye, instead of down at him.
Last thing: I really like the photos where the dogs are doing something (running, panting, catching the ball). You are really good at capturing action!

@jamesstaddon I mounted the lens normally, then turned on my camera and stopped down the aperture a bit. I then pressed the aperture preview button, and then took off the lens while holding down the aperture preview button. I found a tutorial on Youtube. I am not sure if this is great for the camera, so I would definitely research it before trying. But it is a pretty neat trick!

I am glad that you like the flower. When I saw it, I was so blown away by the amazing colors.

I love how you captured your cat looking straight at you! One thing that would make the image even more powerful would be to focus on the eyes. Right now the nose is really sharp, but eyes are less sharp. Whenever I photograph animals, I always try to make the eyes super sharp, since that is where viewers will look first. If you are using a really small aperture, then focusing on both eyes could be tricky. You could either close down your aperture a bit to get both eyes in focus, or try a different angle and focus on the eye closest to you!
For your second image, I like the concept of focusing on the flowers with the flamingos in the background. I love the pretty blue flowers in the foreground! Personally, I think that the image would be even better if you focused more on one subject. When I look at your image, I am not sure if it is about the flowers or the birds. Since the flamingoes are brighter than the flowers, my eye first goes to the flamingos, not the flower. In other words, if you really focused on the flower, and blurred the flamingos more, or if you focused on the flamingos, and blurred out the flowers and leaves more, the image would be more clear.
Note: I am not sure what camera/lens you are using. If you can’t change the aperture to blur out the background, then I would suggest either blurring it out later with something like Photoshop, or changing positions to get a solid background (if you can).
