These were from some weeds we have in our yard. I noticed they had flowers so I was practicing with manual focus and composition.

I added the vignette in photoshop.Attachments:
My eye was initially drawn to the flowers in the foreground, but then they are not the ones in focus. It took me a moment to find what was actually the subject of the photo, and then I felt like those flowers were blocked by the ones in the foreground.
So, I would try either focusing on the foreground-flowers, or else adjust my position so it’s more clear what is the subject of the image. Also, this may just be personal preference, but I’m not crazy about the white vignette; I don’t think it really adds to the picture. But I love the colors in the picture!! …I just can’t get enough of spring! 🙂My sister says that her eye went straight to the middle where the focus is, …so maybe it’s just my eyes that looked at it wrong 😁
@elianafranzenburg, personally, I would remove the white vignette. I think it distracts from the photo. Also, I would zoom in a bit on the main subject to decrease the amount of flowers in the foreground. Good job with the use of manual focus!
Also, if you want to know what type of weed it is, it’s called Henbit.
Great perspective and colors. Love the lighting too. @bennett-family had some great points. It’s hard to know which flower to focus on when they’re all in a bunch like that. Perhaps change perspective until you find one that stands out just a bit more than the others (like the one out of focus on the left?).
