    How is this? I re-took it with the tips I received.

    Yes!! I like this picture much better. The crystals seem sharper, brighter, and sparkle more. Maybe you could cut back on your highlights a little, to reduce glare at the top right of the stone…Not an important thing though. Good job @elianafranzenburg!

    Yes! This looks SO much better @elianafranzenburg! It’s so clear now and has a bit of a sparkle to it. And the settings are way better. Love it! 🙂

    I’m very impressed! Nice and sharp now. Better color. What is the dark area running along the top of the gem?

    Also, I don’t know how large it is now what lens you have, but I think a neat follow-up shot (or to add to your gem photos collection) if you had the time and ability would be a closeup, with the awesome texture completely filling the frame!
