I enjoyed the opportunity to photograph this assignment with my sister and her newborn son! There are SO many ways that “motherhood” can be pictured – my photos are just one of many options. Here are some favorites from my submissions.
Hello! Here are five of my favorite shots for this assignment. I am wondering which others think looks best, as I have not yet learned how to pick. I am thanking the Lord for beautiful sunshine and ladybugs!
So cute! I really like the ones that show the subject highlighted in sunlight with the background falling into shadow! I’d say “Ladybug-in-sun-2-RESIZED.jpg” is my favorite of the bunch.
Hi @jerrell and @grace-galdamez, I’m so sorry I didn’t check this thread earlier! No, I don’t think animal photos would have a very high chance of winning. “Family Conferences” is who we are photographing for, so photos with animals would be a little out of place. However, you could photograph objects and scenes without people that obviously relate to motherhood, and I think those would go over well. Feel free to submit the animal photos in addition to others, though, in the low chance that they actually might be useable.
I had a lot of fun shooting for this assignment! I needed to get back to doing some photography, as I haven’t been doing a lot for a while because of other things getting in the way, so this was perfect timing!
I’m thankful our daffodils started blooming this week. Just in time to provide a pretty feminine subject.
I have an editing question. How can you tell if an image is a natural looking “warmth” by using the red/green/blue numbers? I keep getting confused because there’s no number for yellow.
