Spring has sprung in Missouri. The beauty of God’s creation is beginning to push forth. This is our first crocus. It was golden hour, so it ideal to photograph.

As announced on the webinar last night (you can re-watch it here: https://www.lenspiration.com/video/webinar98/), congratulations to Hannah Jones for her beautiful photo that perfectly depicts the concept of “Mothers Day” that Family Conferences was going for. The publisher said about her photo: “Great leading lines taking your eye from the Bible, to the flowers, up to the teacup, and then to the white space, which is perfect for a quote or ‘Happy Mothers’ Day!’.” It was a great assignment, y’all!

@laura-aome, you had asked a question:

@jamesstaddon or @lenspirationlydia, do you require model releases for these type of photos (not full faces in the pictures)?

In this particular situation, a model release was not required. In general, when you do need a model release you’d want to get one even if only part of the face is showing in the picture, because the person is still recognizable. Hope that helps!
