Good Morning Lenspiration!
This time, we need photos that fit Exodus 14:13-14:
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day… The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Your submitted photos will be used as a background to the verse as part of our VersePics Ministry, and in this VPO, I’m asking for reflections, ƨиoiɈɔɘlʇɘɿ, ɐuq ɯoɹǝ ɹǝɟןǝɔʇıouƨ¡¡¡ Specifically, what I’d like to see is a mountain or something like that reflecting into a still lake. While that may be the goal, personally, I know I don’t have anything close to me that would fit that description, especially with all this snow and the constant sub-zero temperature (-14, so it is heating up around here!), so alternatively look for some good reflections in large bodies of water, with or without mountains. Deadline is January 27.
Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
Full details on submission rules, what you’ll get paid, the link for submitting RAW files (the DFR), exactly how the images will be used, and everything else can be found in the VersePic Opportunity FAQ page.
Thank you for your support in this ministry!

January 18, 2018 at 2:43 pm #28415Sarah LewisParticipantThanks, and you’re welcome! 😉
January 19, 2018 at 5:54 pm #28499James StaddonKeymaster@sarahanne, do you have any others of the same location/subject that are sharper and have the horizon crossing dead center through the image?
January 19, 2018 at 8:32 pm #28518Sarah LewisParticipantJanuary 19, 2018 at 9:05 pm #28527Sarah LewisParticipantThe only problem is that they were taken on a cloudy day, they don’t look too bad so you could look at them if you want to.
January 22, 2018 at 12:44 pm #28540James StaddonKeymasterYes, go for it! As long as the reflection is clear and it’s a nice location, the cloudy aspect might not be so bad.

@sarahanne If you would be willing, I’d love to see more of those photos! If you’d like to submit a lot of photos at once, you can use the DFR link to make it easier for you.January 23, 2018 at 1:05 pm #28565James StaddonKeymaster@rmadaris I love that place! How far do you live from there? Your picture reminded me of a shot I took there too. The water’s so dark there it makes for great reflections!
January 23, 2018 at 7:25 pm #28575Ryan MadarisParticipant@jamesstaddon, we live in Summerville Georgia, about 6 hours away. It’s one of my favorite places in Georgia!

Essentially, what I was looking for and envisioning was the power and grandeur of God seen in a huge mountain (with a lot of rock showing) being reflected or “shown” forth to us via the water. I don’t know if that makes any sense, hopefully that does, but I’m not quite sure what else to say really! Both of those who submitted did a good job with capturing reflections, but neither of the photos had quite the reflection I was looking for.
Unfortunately, I discovered yesterday much to my dismay that the DFR link wasn’t working! If anyone submitted anything through the DFR, I didn’t recieve it… I figured out what the issue with it was (my Dropbox account had reached its storage limit because I hadn’t cleaned out some old files), and it is now working again, but I do apologize if you did submit something through there before the deadline!
Even though I won’t be using either of the submissions that I received for the VersePic, I do want to say thank you again to those that submitted for helping us out!
I’ll be posting a new VersePic Opportunity sometime in March, if I have my schedule straight, so keep a lookout posted for it!
