Awesome job for your first try!! In the upper right corner, and the lower left corner, there are some light trails (I presume they are from lightning bugs) that need to be removed. The horizon is also off a bit.
Did you use Lightroom to stack the photos?

I really can’t critique much on this but kind of like @RyanMadaris said, the lightning bugs and the horizon were just a little bit off, but other then that very nice job. The coloring and composition is really great!
July 29, 2018 at 10:19 pm #32499Josiah WaldnerParticipantThank you! @rmadaris, I used the Lighten blend mode in Photoshop to stack this picture. I assume that you meant Photoshop rather than Lightroom- I can’t stack images other than HDR to the best of my knowledge in Lightroom. I tried to turn off all the layers that had lightning bugs in them, but it was kind of like finding needles in a haystack with 500+ frames. The horizon is actually accurate, but it would look better straightened.

It seems like there should be one or two more, but I can’t seem to locate them… 🙁

https://www.lenspiration.com/forums/topic/the-milky-way-from-africa/I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Nature Friend Magazine, but they have an online presence where people can share their astrophotography shots as well, if you want some inspiration. 🙂
