Does anyone know where I could find a good zoom lens for a Nikon D5000 camera. I don’t have a whole lot of money but I really need a zoom lens. My camera only goes to 55mm. Not real great if you are shooting from more then 10 – 15 feet away, unless it is a landscape shot. Thanks for any input. ~Peanut
Agreed! I was fortunate because my dad had an old 75-300mm which complemented the 18-55 until I was able to save up enough to buy my own zoom.
Is anyone on the forums here selling a zoom?
I use Canon so I couldn’t sell you any of my lenses to upgrade. Have you looked around for good deals on Amazon? @buddingphotographer, do you know of any current deals on zooms?
I don’t know if I trust eBay or Craigslist all that much when it comes to equipment, but I’m sure you could find a good deal through either of those two sources!
I have a Nikon 55-300 that is a decent lens for the price. Adorama has it available Refurbished for $229.95. Or if you want to spend a little less you can get a 55-200 for $146.95

I have never used it, so I can’t tell you how good it is. Just from the price, you’ll know it’s a cheaper entry-level lens. 🙂
