Charles Haley IVParticipantI would say stripe is better personally, the fees are usually lower as well as the fact that it integrates into websites better.

Charles Haley IVParticipantHello @warrior-princess’
Yes. Stripe is a good company to use for accepting payments and is integrated well into websites. I have used them quite a bit and have had no problems. Their fees are comparable to other Credit Card processors. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.

Charles Haley IVParticipantI have also had really good luck with Western Digital drives. Samsung drives are great as well. SSDs are going to be faster and more reliable than an HDD (spinning drive) as they don’t have moving parts to fail, but are also quite a bit more expensive.

Charles Haley IVParticipant@buddingphotographer I also found it to be a common problem with the small Seagate drives. I don’t think any software will fix it, as it sounds like a hardware failure. https://www.300dollardatarecovery.com/ does appear to be good, but I don’t think it will work in this situation
@blessingscaptured, you may be able to find a local place that can do it, just make sure they are reputable.
As for using the drive afterwords, I wouldn’t trust it. I like @buddingphotographer said, you could use it for some non-important or secondary backups, or for transferring data from one computer to another.September 2, 2022 at 1:58 am #72142
Charles Haley IVParticipantThat is a HDD, not an SSD. According to my research and knowledge of dealing with HDD, the beeping is usually a stuck head, which is a mechanical issue. This can happen if the drive is reading or writing when it loses power. This would take mechanical repair by someone who knows what they are doing with hard drives.

Charles Haley IVParticipantThat is great @ernestf-lloyd, glad you were able to figure it out.
I just checked out your website and it appears to be working fine.June 20, 2021 at 11:48 pm #63275
Charles Haley IVParticipantThe reason https//:ernestlloyd.org did not work, is because it needs to be http://ernestlloyd.org.
It is not coming up as a secure website, thus the HTTPS does not work. The “s” is for secure. It is saying that the domain was recently registered at namecheap.com, as the screenshot from @frazer-family shows. Also the screenshot from @buddingphotographer shows “Website Expired” saying that the account has expired. This would lead me to believe that the problem is with your adobe account. Did you purchase the domain separately from adobe? I have not worked with adobe portfolio, but I have done a decent amount of web design and management. The other issue may be that the payment on the domain may have lapsed.January 27, 2021 at 2:13 pm #57944
Charles Haley IVParticipant@jamesstaddon you were correct on the waterfall being Bond falls in UP Michigan. Also, the sunset is over Wolf lake at the NWCC from the south land bridge. it was taken through a truck windshield with an ipod touch camera. I was on a mission so i stopped for a few seconds and snapped a couple of photos.
