@creative-click-photography, what a wonderful shot of playful lambs. I have placed my two edits of your photo. In my personal opinion, I feel that this photo was a bit overexposed, and the shutter speed could have been raised from 1/640 to possibly 1/1000 or lower your ISO to 100 instead of 320. However, at the same time, this was a great shot…[Read more]

@creative-click-photography and @lenspirationlydia: Yes, I finally got to open the photo where it was clear. Thank you Lydia. I didn’t realize that clicking the photo while in the “lightbox view” would help! Thanks.

Hi there @creative-click-photography, it looks like a great photo! However, you image size is really small! Please change the length up to 2000 pixels. I look forward to editing it; editing is fun. I’ll edit it, share what I did, and give suggestions.

@lenspirationlydia, your photos are beautiful because you had great lighting, great subject, and love the creative foreground blurs. My favorites from your photos are the first and last photos! Wonderful!
It looks like I won’t be able to participate in this assignment (aka, photo challenges/competitions), because I do not have any willing subjects…[Read more] -

@BlessingsCaptured, love the first photo because first there is more focus on the Bible rather than the person and second, love the bokeh (I’m pretty sure you know what that is!). Lovely bokeh! Creative idea for your subject to wear blue to match the organization’s theme. Great attention to details. Yes, bokeh makes things so light and airy, great…[Read more]

Hannah, how fun that you are into food photography! I’ve done it too, but mainly for desserts. Considering that I don’t know all the props you could use or have, my comments are merely suggestions and may or may not work.
Here’s some small details to check: On your first photo of the enchilada-looking dish, I would try a landscape shot. By doing…[Read more]

@ernestf-lloyd Hi Ernest, I’m kind of a new Lenspiration member and have been looking over the new and old content here. Looking at several posts ago, I found that you posted of your portfolio on Adobe and shared a link. The link didn’t work for me, but I’d be interested in seeing your portfolio if you could share it again 😀 I’m also using Adobe…[Read more]

Hello,
Is it alright if I submit photos that are similar to Staddon’s second photo? Also, is a flat-lay of the tract placed in a restaurant server’s check book acceptable?
I agree with @JamesStaddon that this assignment is hard because handing tracts out is a general short occurrence in a day, and it would look odd to be lugging a camera around.…[Read more] -

@blessingscaptured (to Sarah): To me, the Swallowtail butterfly is the main one that is super sharp. Way to go! It’s beautiful and stunning. What camera did you use for it and what is your new camera now?
Love the goldfinch @Christian-horstmann! How far were you from the goldfinch, and did you use a 75-400 mm or possibly greater? I imagine that…[Read more]

Here are my last 5. I am unable to write the long description as I did similarly due to time, however just note that a took a break from pulling weeds from the garden to capture these photos! By the way, these water drops are not at all staged; these were naturally wet from an early morning shower.
I am pleased about the last photo of the…[Read more] -

Sorry for the amount of repeated images. The last three didn’t upload in my previous post until later; I guess it just took a little bit longer for them to load.

Here are the first 5 of my photos for this assignment. I am so thankful to God that I was able to fit in the time to finally submit these photos and before the timed deadline!
Suggested scripture for the photos:
1. Ant – “Go the ant you sluggard…” Proverbs 6:6 (and or 7 & 8)
2. Rosebud blossoms – Matthew 6:28-29 or Matthew 6:34
3. Maroon o…[Read more] -

@buddingphotographer, my thoughts exactly! Thank you. 😀
Note: When I first started looking through Lenspiration’s history of blog posts, Q&A forums, and assignments (to catch up with the community), I saw your set up of your photography gear to take the snowflake photos. Hello @JamesStaddon, since I have a 35mm macro lens, for this assignment do I have to flip the lens around? I have tried it in early 2020 and did not have much success with it; considering the low depth of field. All my photos that I have thought about submitting here are using my macro lens that picks up still great detail and are very much…[Read more]

@JamesStaddon, thank you for your message. Yes, I have won twice out of the three times that I entered. I first entered in 2020 before I took my first photography course (online) and won 3rd place in the floral category, senior group (versus youth and adult). I entered in 2021, and did not win anything. Then, I entered this year (2022), and won…[Read more]

@BlessingsCaptured, what a great idea you had to use waterdrops to magnify the flowers. I believe they are Shasta Daisies and I also have those wildflowers as well.
I understand the frustration of dust particles on your camera/lens, but you did well in problem-solving it by using the healing brush. Although another solution would no doubt be…[Read more] -

Hello Hannah. Your macro photos are very close up with beautiful subjects. Great job. Wishing you the best! I would recommend to re-submit the photos, because you included your watermark. If you look at the Shoot to Serve Details for this assignment, Lydia Bennett states to not include the watermark. Didn’t want you to miss out because of that!…[Read more]
