I like this photo!(maybe ’cause I like cows… 🙂 The composition is perfect, great depth of field. I like how all the cows are curious about something not shown(photographer). First issue is it needs straightening counter-clockwise a bit. Also the sky looks too washed out while the front fellow is too dark. I reckon part of that problem is a overcast sky? I would also move your focus point a little more from the nose to between the eyes. Maybe try cropping a little off the left side to remove distraction and follow rule of thirds, and less cropping on the legs. Great composition anyway! I’ll try to get some pics of our cows when I get a chance. (One of them’s last day is tomorrow… 🙁
February 1, 2018 at 2:59 pm #28738Ryan MadarisParticipant@hayhand02, I left the space on the left side because two of the cows were looking in that direction, and I didn’t want to cut the edge of the photo off. Thanks for the advice!
February 1, 2018 at 5:14 pm #28739Dara CochranParticipantit looks like you got down pretty low for this shot (which is nice) but if it was possible for you to get lower to get the cows in the backgrounds feet, that would be great, because it looks like there feet were chopped off. That’s really all I can see that you could do differently with this photo! great job with this shot 🙂 @ryanmadaris

Pull the texture out of the clouds if possible. Not even sure if there is any texture though. I think the cow has an expression that’s fun to try and figure out. 🙂
