My second submission…
March Joys
Blooming flowers, sparkling skies
Love-in-a-Mist, and Pansy eyes;
Puffy white clouds, still waters blue
Birds’ sweet songs, and early gardens too.Ev’ry Springtime sound and sight
Fills my soul with rapturous delight
Bursting to the surface, and up to Heaven’s height;
Lending wings to my spirit
And aiding me in flight.March 22, 2023 at 10:08 pm #76851Warrior PrincessParticipantMarch 22, 2023 at 10:26 pm #76857Warrior PrincessParticipantSnow in the Desert
March in southern Arizona has been quite similar to January and February this year- cool and beautiful, with a bit of rain, wind, and an amazing surprise at the beginning of the month!
It was warmer than the first two months, thus allowing the hail and freezing rain to become a fleecy, drifting, perfectly beautiful white powder known as snow- rare to us Tucsonians, but dear to my heart.
The snow fell softly throughout the night of the first of March, and covered everything in a 4-inch blanket of loveliness. Even the cacti were blessed by God’s wonderful snowflakes, and the lemon tree in our backyard was sheltered from the cold by its gentle presence.
By the morning sun, the snowflakes one by one were melted, though a thick layer of them lasted ‘til half the day was gone.
I believe God brought that snowfall (though short) as an answer to my prayers, for I prayed fervently, and asked Him for the dear white flakes to clothe our desert land.

Whene’er I am alone,
In the quiet of Thine own nature,
And in the still of the day
When the sweet breezes fly;
I drink in the wind and the air
And am filled with rapture;
Heaven seems nearer,
Memories pass softly by.Only in the Spring
I feel this lovely feeling
And all that is beautiful and good in this world
I think of.
Like a dream when one is half awakened
Or finds healing
I am refreshed in soul and body
By the Creator above.

Do I need to upload my photos to the Dropbox link as well? Or is it okay as long as they upload here without being downsized? Thanks!March Downunder
What does the month of March mean to you? Here in the picturesquely scenic region of Tasman, New Zealand, March ushers in the cooler months with an assortment of snappy, then summer-like mornings, a host of fruit to harvest and preserve, and the first trees beginning to turn bright red and Autumn-brown, before releasing their leaves to spin and flutter to the ground.
The large ensemble of fruit that the month of March heralds in includes apples and pears ripening on the wild, heritage trees in the organic orchard up the hillside, as well as peaches, walnuts, feijoas, grapes, and quinces that ripen on urban trees.
Bags, boxes, and baskets are filled with the abundance of the fruit that comes right from the Creator’s hand. Before long, the shelf is filled with jars of preserves, and homemade fruit vinegars ferment in the kitchen, as well as bottles of homemade bolied grape juice. The sound of the dehydrator preserving the flavour and nutrition of the ripe fruitage is yet another element found in March. Take the time to scout around your place this month, and explore March in your corner of the globe!

Is it possible to edit a couple of my submissions?
Two or three of them I forgot to include where I live. I cannot submit a photojournalistic piece without adding those important details. can I?March 24, 2023 at 3:27 pm #76914Caleb BohlingParticipantHere is my paragraph:
“With desert flowers blooming and the month of March is certainly a beautiful time of the year in the Sonoran Desert. Because we have not had a measurable amount of snow in the Phoenix area since 1990, this is the end of the winter rainy season for us. With the extra rainfall and the beginning of spring, wildflowers are popping up everywhere and the grapefruit and oranges are ripening. The Creator openly sets his beauty and creativity on full display during the month of March.”
And my first five photos:

by: Joanna PotterOne afternoon, I was outside enjoying a warm, sunny March day, when I spotted this little guy. He was hard at work pollinating my Mom’s blueberry blossoms. I had never gotten any great pictures of insects before, so I decided to try it again. Using my Mom’s phone I tried to focus on the bee. It was hard because he never stayed in one place long. Trying not to bother him too much, so as not to get stung, I snapped pictures as he buzzed from one bud to the next. It was really cool, because as I was focusing in for another photo, he stuck his head into the blueberry bud. On another shot it was really neat to see that he had even posed perfectly for me, sticking his proboscis out. Watching this little bee hard at work was not only the perfect chance to get some interesting photos, but it reminded me of an important lesson. As Christians, we need to stay focused on God’s purpose for us in life (like this bee, pollinating), ignoring distractions (like me the intruding photographer!). Never miss a chance to marvel at God’s amazing creation!
