I never got around to taking photos for this assignment until today, so I thought that even though it’s too late to enter for the assignment, I’d still share my photos. I realised that I don’t think I’ve ever taken photos from that perspective before and I found it quite fun!

This is PERFECT guys! Thanks for submitting all these photos and I look forward to looking over them in prep for Tuesday’s webinar critique. It is interesting to observe various factors that became themes in the majority of submissions, and then to see a few submissions that broke outside of the box. I think it will be neat to analyze shapes that were prominent in the bulk of these “looking up” photos. There’s a lot we can glean here. I finally had time the night before the deadline to shoot, and I also got a couple on a hike the day of. The one of the telescope was hard because I was trying to find a good composition with enough light to have my brother pose with it (did you know it’s hard to get someone to stand perfectly still for 5 seconds? 🙂), but also have the scope not pointing at clouds (it was way too cloudy to do any real stargazing). But that wasn’t working, so I settled for using just the telescope. The other two, I was trying to go for the “bug’s perspective” shot.
