This is my submission for picture #1.
This was a family group effort… someone’s holding up a black sheet, someone’s holding a mirror to reflect light back onto the subject, someone’s posing and someone’s taking the photo! 🙂Attachments:
Here up North in Canada it is winter already, but when we received the assignment last month I felt that I should try to make the best of what was available to me and not be lazy and skip the assignment… so I took a number of photos of the last colorful tree with a dirt driveway and a wooden fence in the background… I realize that this is not a winning photo, but I figured if Melissa likes the composition perhaps she can add the colour! 🙂

Most of our trees out West are deciduous, but now and then you get a splash of color to brighten up the picture!

We do not get the dramatic autumn colors here in the West that you do in the East, but I like the bright, warm colors in this autumn landscape photo. I have also attached two additional photos for variety in the cloud formations.

A funny story: it has actually started snowing here in Canada and in order to get a few more pictures with the hose in focus (I hope!) I actually had to go out to the orchard with a bucket full of warm water and melt the snow around the tree! 🙂

I think my son might want a drone for his birthday… :-).I was blessed to be able to travel to South Africa with my two eldest daughters this past December to visit family and show them where I come from… there are many beautiful beaches! I love the theme for this assignment and think Romans 8:38 + 39 says it best: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
