The first time I took part in an assignment like this, I loved it so much that I’ve kept doing it on my own… If you really, really enjoyed working on these, I just want to encourage you that you can keep doing them for yourself personally and also to share with others and encourage them with a wonderful promise from Scripture illustrated creatively on a beautiful photo!

ChristianHi everyone! I always love looking through eveyone’s photos on the last day of submission for an assignment. So nice to see everyone’s work and see all the variety and creativity that comes from so many people viewing the same assignment in so many different contexts. 🙂
I did a quick camera setup this afternoon and I had to use the camera timer to get a photo of myself at my desk, looking at one of my favorite Grand Canyon photos in Lightroom, as if I was “editing” it.
I had two pictures that I thought were keepers, but turns out only one turned out. This is entirely natural light coming from my window.
The other one that didn’t turn out, I liked a lot too. The setup in the photo was a little better. Sadly, however, although it looks great in my thumbnails when I downloaded the pictures, when I click on it, it is distorted as if a “slice” of the photo right in the middle was shifted. Have no idea why. This one had natural light supplemented by a soft lamp on my other side. It had a different “feel” in the lighting. Kind of disappointing it didn’t work out, but still glad I got one keeper. 😄
Loved this assignment and would have liked to experiment so much more with it! Maybe another day…

Hi @hannah-f! For my goldfinch, I actually had my 55-200 that day; I was outdoors looking more for general landscape shots that day, not necessarily super close-ups… So I must confess that I was indeed very, very close… Well, okay, I’ll just admit it all and say that that picture was actually taken inside the park office… the set-up looked SOOO life-like that it looked very, very close to real to me! 😄
And two more! 😄 A little goldfinch and another white orchid in addition to the one from @jesuslovinskirtwearingirl… 😄

Hi everyone! I always love scrolling through these asssignments and seeing all the unique perspectives that God has given every one of us, so that we see His Creation in all kinds of different ways that stand out to us! Kind of like the “underneath the daisies” perspective from @capturing-his-creation…
Some of my submissions have little water droplets on them, but I was really blown away by all the dewdrop reflections that @blessingscaptured was able to achieve! Dewdrop reflections are some of my favorite macro shots to look at. 🙂

I plan to catch up on the webinar replay tonight or tomorrow so I don’t miss out anything that went on last night… In the meantime, though, I totally forgot to ask everyone to let me know how you would like me to credit your images when I use them. If you could drop a note here in the forum and tell me how you would like your name to appear, that would be great. I generally use a “photography by (name)” style of credit, and sometimes (depending on space/situation) include a weblink to a website/portfolio (if you have one). Let me know if you’d like something specific please; otherwise, I’ll simply use your name as it is spelled out here on your profile in the forums.
