Thanks for your input! I entered this picture into my county fair right before I submitted here (we’ll see how it does). They needed an 8×10, and so I was able to take care of the sprigs being too close together earlier by cropping them out altogether. As for the other sprig crossing…Read more

Hey @elianafranzenburg

A few thoughts from the couple times I did photos for friends of mine who have little ones…

-Communicate with the family as far as clothing to wear. I had a situation where I ended up doing impromptu Christmas photos for this family, but the baby and the mama were both wearing light colored clothing, so when mama held…Read more

Wow, stunning shot!
In terms of editing, colouring, and the overall feeling, I think you nailed it.
I would agree with @elianafranzenburg about moving to the right a bit to even out the spacing. Another thing is the main sprig on the left. You’ve got another sprig in the background crossing over the stem towards the bottom…that’s something <a…Read more

Perhaps you could explain a bit behind what you were trying to accomplish with this shot?

My initial thought is that the water is so “frozen” in place that it almost looks frozen – glass-like. So if you want it to look more watery, maybe you could slow your shutterspeed down for more flow in the motion of the water.

Again,…Read more

The silky water effect is so fun! I was very excited the first time I tried it out. 🙂 Lovely photo & great subject, @elianafranzenburg!

Here are a few thoughts!
Your image is leaning to the left a tad, so I thought you might want to straighten that up. Also, since the fountain is cut off on the right hand side a bit, I thought it’d would look…Read more
