Kayla WeaverParticipantThanks for sharing this! I have been disgusted over and over again at what sites get by with without being tagged as having inappropriate content. I have installed the regular AdBlock version, but didn’t know I could get this and get rid of the rest of what I didn’t want to see. I’m excited to download this. Thanks again!!!!

Kayla WeaverParticipantMore like one of these? I was rather limited composition-wise as I only had one lens. And I had no tripod for long exposures. 🙁 Not a good thing. My shutter speed was already down to 1/80, and with the 75-300mm lens I wasn’t comfortable going lower than that. I would now, there were plenty of good places to prop a camera and get good longish exposure shots. I would also carry another lens. Or use a shorter one. This is a small falls, and I couldn’t fit it all on a frame with the lens I had.

Kayla WeaverParticipantNo, I’m not the one that took that photo. I do have a couple lighthouse photos, but with calm water around them.

Kayla WeaverParticipantThe amount of black on the right is a bit distracting to me. Also that the boat seems almost to “disappear” into the darkness. You have good exposure in the sky, except for a few of the clouds. Have you thought of trying HDR? That would have allowed better exposure on the boat, while keeping the sky exposed nicely. With the closer crop that James Staddon posted the darkness is less distracting and seems to pull the viewer’s eye more towards the colors of the sunset and the boat. That said, I like the shot. 🙂
