A couple tips:
The goose doesn’t look very sharp to me, so maybe you could retake the picture and make sure its fully focused on the goose.The background is busy and I find it somewhat distracting from the subject.
Maybe you could include some more of the goose and move it from the middle to follow the rule of thirds.
Good job on finding a really interesting subject!
Hi @Joesph! If you are looking to take pictures for the point of photography, my suggestion would be go with a DSLR. I have an iPhone 5s and a Canon Rebel T5 and the Rebel can do so much more. That said, if you just want to document moments, a phone would work great.
Hi @james! So at the end of the course I was given a final exam and then given a diploma with my grade and saying that I have completed the course, signed from the president. Yes, I took the basic photography course, but I’m hoping to take the advanced one next:). They are live courses, but mine was definitely clean and wholesome with the pictures etc. I found the classes to be very comprehensive! I chose to take the course because I got it for free so I figured it didn’t hurt to take it:)
Hi @joseph! I would’ve liked to see it sharper…the leaf doesn’t look very sharp to me. Also maybe this is just me, but the background (not the grass but the woods) in my opinion would be better straight if the makes sense:) other than that, nice job!

To be honest, I’m not quite sure what I was trying to achieve with the angle, just kinda a spur of the moment thing😄. @dan cope, I really loved reading what you thought I might have been trying to accomplish!!!

@james. No I don’t have a place to post my photos. Would you need to see some? And no I’m not taking the course. I did t think it was available to the free membership, but I would totally take it if it was.
Thanks @james! I’m almost 12, so I might be too young. My experience level is about beginner intermediate, and I LOVE photography! As far as older students, my best friends are years older then me, so I’m pretty comfortable with people older than me. I have a Canon Rebel T5, a tripod, a lap top, and Lightroom. Would I be too young?
If an exception is made, I’ll consider coming to the Vermont one with my brother tyler 🙂
@abbie, nice picture! I would say that the sunlight on her head, and on the grass is a little harsh. Obviously you can’t control the sun, but that is something to take into consideration. Also, I might be wrong, but the picture looks cropped. I think it would have been better to use the rule of thirds. Another thing is in some places, it looks blurry and not sharp. The last thing, is you have a cute sis:)
