PeanutParticipantThanks for the hints! I always forget about not putting my subject dead center. Also, I unfortunately don’t have a way to edit my photos!

PeanutParticipantThank you for your comments! Somehow I always seem to forget about that third thing. No I did not crop it! The picture you see completely unedited!
I will definitely be more careful with the shutter speed when it is windy!February 9, 2019 at 1:19 pm #37005
PeanutParticipantWow! Great shots! However, on the cardinal almost the first thing I noticed was that the foot was blurry. I know that it would have been moving, so maybe a faster shutter speed would have helped, and then again maybe it just adds to the effect to leave it blurry.
On the squirrel the tail seemed just a hair over exposed, but maybe its just me. Was it taken in direct sunlight? That could easily explain it! Also, that stick in front of the squirrel is a little distracting, but I don’t imagine there was much that could be done about that. Perhaps a different angle would have helped.

PeanutParticipantThanks! I haven’t been on the forum for awhile. Life got busy! I got a 70 – 300mm lens for Christmas last year. Thank you mom and dad!

PeanutParticipantI like the one where the horse is farther away, you really captured the colors of the rainbow in that one. In my experience with rainbows it is hard to get the colors to come out. The only thing I would say is that In both pic I would of tried to get the rainbow a little more centered and not worried about getting the horse in the picture. I am assuming the horse belongs to you and you can get pictures of it anytime, whereas a rainbow like that is not seen very often. I am not very experienced with photography, so others may see things that I would not.

PeanutParticipantNo, I am not from Texas ,but we do spend three months out of the year down there in the winter. I am familiar with the greeting and say it sometimes myself. Thanks for the critique, it is appreciated.
