Blessings CapturedParticipantthank you @dotremain. Those are some excellent things I’ll keep in mind; especially coming from someone who knows what it’s like to lose images.

Blessings CapturedParticipantCongratulations @parrisfamily! That’s exciting to have your picture on the front cover of a book.
I like how light and airy your photos are.

Blessings CapturedParticipantWhen I take portraits I like to zoom in to at lest 50mm and I’ll use 70mm if it can. At that mm people’s faces don’t get distorted and the background has some blur.
Before I had my 24-70mm I used my 18-55mm for portraits just making sure I was zoomed in.March 12, 2026 at 11:45 am #100350
Blessings CapturedParticipantI use my Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 lens 80% of the time. I also have a 18-55mm and a 70-300mm lens. (They’re all the Nikon versions) I’ve found those three cover everything I need.
Think about the pictures you take now. Are you always using 55mm and wishing you could zoom in more? Or do you like the wide-end of lens (18mm) the best?

Blessings CapturedParticipantMy new laptop fan has been installed for a couple weeks now. It seems to be working well. Sometimes it can be a little loud but it has more of a pattern. Such as when it’s booting up. When it does run, it runs smoothly without pulsing.
Thank you for everyone’s advice!January 28, 2026 at 11:36 am #99757
Blessings CapturedParticipantI’ve ordered a laptop fan and am looking forward to putting it in.
And I’ll keep those Windows files around for a bit.

Blessings CapturedParticipantThank you for looking the part number and part up for me! And that’s good to know to look out for “compatible” parts.
When I had the laptop open I got a number for the fan. It was interesting how on most of the parts there was a QR code the gave you the exact, big number for that part.I have a question about the windows update I did. Where you can delete temporary files there’s a place to delete “previous Windows Installation” and “Windows upgrade log files”. Are those safe for me to delete?
