An Opportunity to Furnish Your Impressions on My Photos

by | Jul 5, 2025 | Updates & Opportunities | 0 comments

We’re not even a full week into the second half of 2025, and guess what?

I’m sure you know that I absolutely love landscape photography. And you’re probably pretty familiar with the fact that I try to put my best photos in a fine-art wall calendar every year. Problem is, it’s no easy task to choose which of my photos go into the calendar. So that’s why I put together a survey with all my latest photos. That way, folks like you can see the candidates and help me choose which ones actually go into the calendar!

Normally, I don’t have my latest photos ready for review until around September. It takes a long time to sort and edit and perfect all the potential candidates from the previous year.

Well, this year it’s different! It’s only July, and all the photos for the 2026 Calendar Survey are finished! The survey is now ready and waiting to receive your coveted opinion! Click here to let me know which of these 37 photographs are your favorites!

Lenspiration 2026 calendar survey to vote on my photos

An Autumn Emphasis

As you will see, over half the photos in the survey were taken in the autumn season. Evidently, I was traveling a lot in the fall last year. An incredible photography workshop in Indiana, a grand roadtrip to North Dakota, an overnight stay at an iconic Minnesota landmark.

And I guess I wasn’t doing much landscape photography in the winter season. Not too many winter options showed up in the survey this year! But that’s ok. There are still high-scoring winter photos from previous years’ surveys that I can use in the calendar. The survey would be too long if I included photos from previous surveys, so to keep it short, I only include fresh, new photos that had never been voted on before.

Never-Before-Seen Photos

If you have been following the Lenspiration blog over the last year or so, I’m sure you will recognize some of the photos in the survey. But guess what. There are some totally new photos in the survey too! Sometimes, half of the photos I take at a workshop won’t get edited initially. Sometimes an entire folder of photos will sit unedited on my hard drive for a long time. But preparing for calendars is my time to unearth and edit them them all! 13 of the survey candidates are being released to the public for the first time!

And of course, if you haven’t been keeping up with Lenspiration, all the photos will be new to you!

Popular Opinion Needed

As you proceed through the survey, you will notice that some photos are quite similar to each other. This is because I’m looking for your opinion on which one is the “best of the bunch”. When I’m photographing at any given location, I’ll often take multiple angles and perspectives on the same subject. After the shoot, during processing, sometimes it will be obvious to me which is the best angle. But sometimes it’s not that obvious or I don’t have a personal opinion. And that’s where I look to popular opinion to help me pick out which one to use in the calendar!

Important Notes

The deadline for all survey responses is Saturday midnight, July 19, 2025.

A free gift will be given to those who make it all the way to the end!

I really appreciate your input. I know it will take a few minutes of your precious time, but I hope you will at least enjoy the time spent soaking in some of the beauty of God’s incredible creation. Thank you for taking the time to furnish your impressions of my photos in the 2026 Lenspiration Calendar Survey!
